Make a reservation. The table will continue to be occupied 2 hours later. From the terrace you have a nice view. Attentive service. Simple, home-style dishes on offer. I had venison sausages, fried potatoes and green sauce, but it tasted more like cucumber salad. Still everything is fine. Sufficient blankets against the cool evening available.

Service very friendly, atmosphere unfortunately much too uncomfortable due to poor lighting in the evening, almost like under floodlights. The food was ok, but not particularly memorable.

From my own experience of several years I can only say that every visit there was always very, very good! No, because of the gray-blue wine jelly, it does not have to look good, but it should taste good and it always did! The Green Sauce is also a poem, you can't do it better yourself. If this seems too conservative to all, I can give you the good advice to go to the Hotel Steigenberger or other schicki micki restaurants, after all it is "just a wine bar" !!! Not good. Although reserved for 7 people on the occasion of a birthday on the terrace, we were only given an indoor table. And in the best weather. Apparently the locals are preferred. Not recommendable.

Staff very friendly and good wine and good food

We look forward to an evening for two, constantly different guests came to the table to complain, we thought that was really annoying. At some point came a gentleman, apparently the boss?!? In the most impolite way, without imagining and put us two gentlemen at the table, with the words, we are not a restaurant but a winery! This is not a way to deal with customers. When I go out with my husband in the evening, I want to be able to enjoy this evening and talk as I like, without strangers at my table. So we were there for the last time.

Five stars are not enough to describe this wonderful, well-kept and dignified atmosphere, wonderful view over the beautiful Rheingau. Great service, especially Johannes is a nice and competent service man who gives you good advice and, if possible, also fulfills vegan requests. All dishes are fresh and tasty. And the wine selection leaves nothing to be desired.

This restaurant belongs to a smaller local winery and serves great food (also light dishes like salad) and excellent local wines for good prices. Make sure you try the Sekt (sparkling German wine).
